The Mini was in collision with two cars before it plunged into the Avon
Two people had a lucky escape when their car came off a bridge and ended up in a river after a crash.

The red Morris Mini Clubman was in collision with two other cars on Bridge Street, Christchurch, Dorset, on Monday night and plunged into the river Avon.

The driver and passenger were rescued and taken to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital with slight injuries.

The bridge was closed and the three cars, which also included a Vauxhall Corsa and a Rover 216, were recovered.
